BET has recently announced their upcoming new fall programming, which will include their first ever
Hip-Hop Awards, a "
Beef" and "
American Gangster" series and much more.

The season kicks off on
October 4, with the premiere of "
Beef: The Series" at
9pm EST. In this six-part series viewers can expect to get the inside story on feuds like
Kobe Bryant vs. Shaquille O'Neal, conservative talk show host
Bill O'Reilly vs. Ludacris and
Bow Wow vs. Romeo.
The premiere of "Beef" will be followed by the premiere of "
Next Level: Vince Young" at
9:30 pm. "Next Level" follows NFL rookie and Rose Bowl MVP quarterback
Vince Young as he makes his transition from college sports to the pros. "Next Level: Vince Young" is only the first in a chain of series about star athletes striving to reach their next goal.

Another show focusing on a pro athlete will air on BET's BET J network. "
Committed: The Christies" centers on the married life of NBA baller
Doug Christie and his wife
Jackie. "Committed" premieres
October 5 at
10 PM EST/PST.

Coming on
November 15, BET's first "
Hip-Hop Awards" will be hosted by comedian
Katt Williams and feature awards, performances and tributes to all of hip-hop's biggest artists. The star-studded event will air at 9pm EST/PST.

Rounding out the new season,
Wednesday, November 29 marks the premiere of the dramatic new crime show "
American Gangster" which will retell the life stories of infamous figures like
Stanley"
Tookie"
Williams,
Leroy "
Nicky"
Barnes, "
Freeway Ricky"
Ross and the
Chambers Brothers. Airing on
Wednesdays at
9pm EST/PST this ground-breaking series will peer into the lives of some of Black America's most notorious figures and their impact on society and their communities.
