"The Mighty Joseph" Album Review By The Beast

Riding beneath the mainstream stereotypes, New York City group Mighty Joseph drink cups of Gatorade but always stay thirsty. The two MC’s that make up the group come from two diverse platforms of the city’s rhyme style. Brooklyn bred Karniege delivers tales of smooth savagery with Harlem vet Vast Aire on such tracks that come to mind, “Uprising” and “Rock-it-Science.”

As two homie’s that walked the hallways at Washington Irving high school in Manhattan, they have a foundation that is built on friendship and respect. On their newest album triumphantly called “Empire State,” they bang out enough verbs and synonyms to conjure out an automatic sigh of “ahhh” for any unknowing listener. The 14 track album is being released on Chicago based Urchin Studios and features appearances from Vordul Mega, M.U.R.S., Poison Pen and more. – The Beast
