“Cognac Spills Lyrics” by YaBoyJavi

What’s going down folks? YaBoy tapped into some new tunes recently, and being that I believe sharing is caring, I’ve decided to put you all on to game.

These two tracks here come by way of Bronx representative Clap Cognac off his mixtape The Bronx is Burning hosted by Superstar Jay and Big T. The first is a five borough street anthem called “NYC.” (click to listen). Accompanied by rolling drums and a well-to-do flow, the song is reminiscent of that classic 90s rap.

Next up is “U Know It,” (click to listen) where the Co-op City native admittedly relaxes his rap on the song to make it catchy, though it isn’t dumbed-down enough to skip forward. Plus its bouncy club sound induced a two-step and shoulder shrugs so I gave it a good-to-go, but I’ll let HipHopRuckus readers be the judge of that.
