AZ to release "The Essence" on 2/5/08

The legendary AZ first came to prominence appearing on Nas' seminal album Illmatic, on the song "Life's A Bitch". He soon released his debut album Doe Or Die to critical acclaim and achieved a cult following in spite of little mainstream success. His fanbase grew considerably after he joined The Firm, a super group consisting of Nas, Foxy Brown and Nature with Dr. Dre and The Trackmasters producing.

In 2003 AZ’s song "The Essence" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group.

His new album Undeniable is slated for release on February 5th, 2008. The album features the hits “Life On The Line” and “The Hardest Out” ft. Styles P.
