While cats have been cutting their virtual career umbilicals in the media and abroad, AZ's been in the cut watching and steady plottin' for some raw shit. Hump Day is over so that must mean it’s time for the week in review.

Last night Jay-Z and other hip hop stars hit the red carpet at the 4th annual Black Ball Concert presented by Conde Nast. The concert for a purpose supports the Keep A Child Alive organization and Bono was among the honorees last night.














Kerry Washington, Common and The Simmons family all hit up TRL on Thursday to promote their new projects. Common is too happy that Kerry Washington just directed his latest video for "I Want You".










And the new season of Run's House premiered last night on MTV. Look at Angela and Vanessa rockin' their own Pastry gear-go girls!










The Power Summit went down in Vegas yesterday too. Lil Mama and newcomer/Ciara Protege Tiffany Evans performed. Xzibit, Sean Paul (YoungBloodz) and Lyfe Jennings were in the building-Xzibit showed off his new sexy look (no more braids!)










Obviously not hard at work trying to revive the careers of Danity Kane and Cassie, Diddy announced on Wednesday that he’s partnering with Ciroc Premium Vodka as the new face of the brand. Nice work Did but Jay-Z’s already been there, done that.




















Speaking of artists making big moves, 50 Cent stepped up promotion of his recently released autobiography 50 X 50: 50 Cent in His Own Words. 50 dropped into Barnes & Noble in NYC on Tuesday to sign copies for hisfans. Doesn't he look enthused?
















Jermaine Dupri had the better game face on while promoting his book at Eso Won Books in LA on Tuesday.




















Alicia Keys proved that she’s a true rock star at the Heineken Red Star Soul event in NYC on Tuesday.

The 1 year anniversary of the Boy Genius Report also went down on Tuesday at Canal Room in NYC.

















So it looks like someone finally blessed Shar Jackson with her 15.5 minutes on fame-and this time she didn’t even have to drop the names Britney Spears or Kevin Federline. On Monday she performed on MTV’s TRL- Her grand prize for winning 'Celebrity Rap Superstar.'
