So yo, Crawl out of the hole and seek the light, cuz I'm about to "Son" you onetime while I school you on these disciples....

"Golden Temples" (click to listen)

Bomshot (Bomshots millitant)
His rebellion style of music reflects his grit and grime, struggle of life. He made his first apearance in 2003, on the "Omnipotent Records presents" compilation Eror of the Titans volume 1. Bomshot apeared on three songs on Jus Allahs (of Jedi Mind Tricks) debut solo album All Fates Have Changed released by Baby Grande Records in 2005. Sound scanning nearly 5,000 units in four months. Immediately after the Babygrande release, Bomshot followed up with a mixtape cd titled "Killem all" selling 1,500 units in only 2 months. This mix tape cd included an array of collaborations Bomshot has acumilated over the years with artists such as Wu-Tang clan member GZA, Dipset affiliate Agallah, Shabazz the Disciple, Arsonists, Edan, Virtuoso and many more. Although Bomshot has perfomed with commercial artists like Nelly, Swiss Beats and Fabolous he's much more content with his underground, fanatical fan base in hip-hops independent scene. For the future be on the look out for Bomshots master mind project "The Devilz Rejects" and his debut solo album ("Abomanation" )

12 O'Clock (Wake Up)
Known as one of the most well known Wu-Tang Clan affiliates, outside of the nine original members, 12 OClock has already made a mark for himself in the rap world. Born in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York, 12 OClock was surrounded by the hip-hop culture from an early age. Then at the age of eight, he was forced to grow up fast as he suffered the loss of his mother. It was at this time that he moved in with his Aunt Cherry. While living there he began to tag along with his older cousin everywhere that he could. This cousin quickly became an older brother to 12, teaching him all the things a young man needs to know. 12s big brother later became known to the world as the Ol Dirty Bastard.

Growing up around the Wu-Tang Clan and being related to the members, 12 OClock was just a teenager along for the ride when the group began rising to International fame in the mid-nineties. He has appeared on every Ol Dirty Bastard album ever released, as well as multiple Wu-Tang Clan albums. Having collaborated with seven of the nine members already, 12 is one of the mainstays within the legendary group.

12 OClock is a member of the Brooklyn Zu, along with the late Ol Dirty Bastard, Shorty Shitstain, Murdoc, The Zoo Keeper and Buddha Monk. He is also a member of the Wu-Killa Beez.

As a solo artist, 12 OClock was previously signed to Def Jam Recordings. He has appeared on albums that have been released on various other major labels, including Priority Records, Def Jam Records, Columbia Records and Elektra Records, amongst many other independent labels.

As the next generation of the Wu-Tang Clan, 12 OClock is back in the studio to record his as yet titled album to be released in late 2007. He is ready to reintroduce the Wu-Tang style to the world while remembering his brother. "..I will make sure the legacy of ODB lives on. Our legacy is his legacy, we come from the same tree,.. "says 12 OClock. The next generation of the Wu-Tang Clan is here.

Holocaust (Make it Rain, Hurricane...)
Former Black Knights MC, popular for his ultra-detailed multi-layered poetry, and correct english pronounciations. Has a limp in his walk due to truck accident many years ago during a lone visit to Japan. Holocaust has become the subject of much recent debate due to the sudden change in his rhyme style. Although his lyrics are still largely "multi-layered and ultra-detailed", his execution is far more off-beat. This is often referred to as a "free verse pattern" where rhyming is unnecessary and mostly sporadic. In his own words, he names this new rhyme style as "Mixed Forest Zone", whereas his old style was referred to as "Old Jail Pyjama Room". RZA once described Warcloud as crazy and constantly rapping non-stop. Fans will also note that Warcloud's lyrics are now littered with an increasing use of cliches, metaphors and references to food, nursery rhymes, fables and other classic tales.

Holocaust has experienced his share of critical fanfare and career accolades, having been prominently featured on RZA's legendary album, Bobby Digital as well as being a member of the Westcoast killa beez Black Knights as featured on "Every Night Is A Black Night" album.

Sav Killz "Champion Rap" feat. Planet Asia (Audio), Plus - A Dig into the Science

Posted at

Exclusive Audio
Staying out in the open outside the glass box created by your fear, i want to put you on to some real live -ish that I dig 100% on the podium. Verbal displays of astronomical proportions are exhibited by mans and em Sav Killz (pictured on right)with this gem "Champion Rap" featuring Planet Asia (pictured below, left). If you can't feel this then you've probably been brain-washed by your closeminded delusions of grandeur. If you're in a daze, crawl out of it. Dig it cuz HHR is wit the mayhem cuz we can do that. Break down the fractions and see the conception of Sav Killz & Planet Asia and one more thing...Rock on-Destro The Bigga Figga

"Champion Rap" (click to listen)

Savs Killz: The Conception
Sav Killz (Jamel Hampton) is a Brooklyn emcee, born in Flatbush, who came up in the do or die Bedstuy. He has emersed himself in the hip-hop culture since as long as he could remember. First as a graff writer he wrote Savage doing throw ups and fillins throughout Brooklyn. Later Sav was inspired to become an emcee on a serious level. He had been rhyming since childhood but when he saw how his words and unique stlye affected those around him he found his true calling. Sav engaged in numerous battles and street corner cyphers building his rep all over Brooklyn. He later honed his skills among the Wu-tang Clan , Sunz of Man and Brooklyn Zu cypher. Sav spent many a night rhyming in 36 Chambers studio and Restoration Plaza in Brooklyn which was run by Popa Wu (one of the Wu-tang elders who inspired the Clan). Beyond the WU Sav also performed at many open mic events including End of the Week at the Pyramid, The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Club Speed, and Bowery Poetry Club just to name a few. During this period Sav became a staple in the underground scene , coming up with artists like Stronghold Crew, Immortal Technique, Shabaam Sahdeeq, C Rayz Walz, Loer Velocity and more. All those late nights paid off. Sav's lyrical skills were honed like a sword

Sav is an active member of the Nation of Gods and Earths for several years. The Nation inspired Sav to stay positive, help his community and strive for the best things in life. You can see that in his music. While Sav Killz music is street and gritty, there is still a feeling of hope shown in his furvor. Sav Killz recently performed at the last Show N Prove at Allah's School in Harlem.

Sav Killz stage presence is immense and rugged . You know he's from Brooklyn! His voice captures the crowd's attention. Sav has performed shows opening up for:

* Killah Priest at SUNY Purchase College
* Shabazz the Disciple and Shabaam Sahdeeq at the Hook in Red Hook, Brooklyn
* Cormega and Slum Village at South Paw in Parkslope, Brooklyn
* Loer Velocity at Trinity College in Hartford, CT
* AZ and the Beatnuts at SUNY Purchase College
* M.O.P. at SOBs The indie hip-hop and college circuit has warmed up to Sav.
Many more shows are planned in the near future as well as several tours.

Planet Asia: The Sun Sets in the West
As hip-hop culture progresses into its fourth decade, several artists long for the Golden Era of rap. Rappers of this time (the mid and late 1980s) strove to be the best lyricist and typically accented their wardrobes by wearing hefty gold chains, as evidenced by such MCs as Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and Slick Rick. Consider Planet Asia a torchbearer for the rebirth of the Golden Era.

The veteran Fresno, California rapper’s latest opus, Planet Asia as “MedallionsJewelry Box Sessions: The Album, will be released on his own Gold Chain Music label and reflects the innovative, lyrically advanced, thought-provoking and sonically diverse music typical of the Golden Era of rap. “Everything that I put together, they are all like jewels,” Planet Asia explains, referencing terminology used during the Golden Era to describe lyrics that contained meaning. “Everybody that participated are like precious stones. They’ve all got their own shine on my album, so they’re like their own piece of jewelry.”

With this throwback mentality, it makes perfect sense that Jewelry Box Sessions: The Album contains “Comin’ Home.” The musically bright and rich song produced by Leggo is an autobiographical trip for Planet Asia, who looks back at his formative years. “That’s a song about coming back to where I’m from,” he says. “I’m going back to the same spots where I used to kick it at and everything that made me who I am today.”

Who Planet Asia is today is a rapper who is lyrically advanced in the tradition of East Coast rap while being raised on the gang-infested West Coast. His duality is reflected on the hard-hitting “Havin’ Thangs.” Produced by Da Riffs, the cut contains pounding drums and an intense piano section, making it a perfect backdrop for Planet Asia’s boast-filled raps. “It’s a perfect street single,” Planet Asia explains. “It has a West Coast feel to it, but it also has the East Coast bounce. It’s easy to mix with other songs and it has a big sound.”

Planet Asia then takes it back to a raw sound on “Street Hop.” Produced by Jake One, this cut is a mid-tempo banger that showcases Planet Asia’s verbal dexterity. With an emphasis on clever, vivid wordplay, the song perfectly represents the style of rap Planet Asia represents. “Street hop is what I actually do and no emphasis has been put on that type of music yet,” he says. “You’ve got backpacker music, gangster rap and Down South rap, but what about street hop? What about the people who can rhyme real well that the gangsters listen to and the backbackers listen to? That’s my new version of hip-hop.”

Planet Asia has been fresh since he emerged in the late 1990s as one of California’s most promising rhymers. He released a string of acclaimed solo albums, including The Last Stand and The Grand Opening, and also teamed with Rasco to form the supergroup Cali Agents. Throughout each of these releases, Planet Asia’s confident delivery, booming voice, and diverse subject matter made him an in-demand rhymer who has collaborated with artists such as Ghostface Killah, Linkin Park, Will.I.Am, and the Dub Pistols. Planet Asia also earned a Grammy nomination thanks to his collaboration with Mystic on the song “W,” a tribute to West Coast living.

Now, Planet Asia combines all of his various interests and backgrounds into Planet Asia as “Medallions” Jewelry Box Sessions: The Album. Like his music and the “Medallions” pseudonym, the name Gold Chain Music was created with a distinct purpose. “I call my label Gold Chain Music because it represents the Golden Era,” he says. “It’s not necessarily about jewelry, but jewelry just symbolizes what is going on inside your mind. So Gold Chain Music represents a chain of artists from the Golden Era. Anybody that’s down with me or in my circle, it means that you understand the culture and the history of the music.”

Now, with Planet Asia as “Medallions” and Jewelry Box Sessions: The Album, the prolific rapper is in full control of his music, his label and his direction. “I’m more comfortable now,” he says. “It’s easier to write songs now. It comes out like water now.”

And with a few jewels.

Who is Fes Taylor?
Fes Taylor (Profes) a native of New York City Born in Harlem raised in Staten Island New York. Early on during his childhood Profes realized he had a passion for one thing, MUSIC. Before Long his passion for music would prompt him to start perfecting his craft, Soon this local prodigy could be found ripping apart talent shows and battling MCs every where he could to gain his respect as a rapper. Impressed with Profes’s deep lyrical content and hardcore edge Blackfist Records made him one of the original Shaolin Soldiers; and Profes made his debut on King Justs’s 1994 album Entitled “Mystics of the God”.

The album sold over 300,000 copies, and was an astonishing success. This afforded Profes the opportunity to rise to another level. He began touring for shows such as Freaknic in Atlanta, Jack the Rapper in Florida, and the very first Summer Jam held in New Jersey. Although he had much success with Black Fist Records, it was short lived. The label would eventually fall apart, leaving Profess to sign with Pinnacle Records, an independent label. It was while with Pinnacle Records, that Profes released his solo single Party On/Decision. The single sold over 10,000 copies in The UK and Africa. However, it wasn’t long before Profess found himself once again, on his own. With unstoppable will and determination that was not to be reckoned with. Profes founded 24War Entertainment and released an independent solo album on the streets and sold over 20,000 copies. His on going passion would also lead him to do background vocals for an independent film titled Kings of the Streets, a hip hop documentary.

Profes has recently teamed up with top producer Phantom of the Beats who produced the Magic Stick for 50 cent and Lil kim to form a group called Shadow Government. Their release of two classic mix tapes has afforded them opportunity to show case their talent on the Thug Love soundtrack that featured their lead single titled Lalala and Bang, a project produced by AV8 Records. Fes Taylor has worked with the likes of Phillies Most Wanted, adult film star Heather Hunter and is also currently been featured with Inspectah Deck of the Wu Tang Clans' Underdogs Mix CD, which has circulated through out the Tri State Area and received a great response. Al Curtis who was running for State Senate, invited Profes of 24war Entertainment to head up his Hip Hop Campaign which received radio air play on Major Stations HOT97, WBLS, & Kiss Fm in New York City.

Fes Taylor continues to make strides to make his mark in the music industry. He has formed friendships with some of New York hottest DJ’S such as Dj Kay slay of Hot 97 and MegaTron just to name a few. Profess has endured more than most and made the best of it. It is through his struggles that he is able to find who he really is and develop himself into the artist he was born to be. It is only a matter of time before this talented and gifted artist is known to the world.

Canada ’s leading urban lifestyle publication, Urbanology Magazine, is making a strong statement this fall, telling readers and industry heads alike, “The North Has Arrived.”

The four covers feature some of Canada ’s most prominent urban music acts. Mega-successful Palestinian recording artist Belly, who has been featured everywhere from CNN to Geraldo for his strong political views, reveals why he revels in all the hateration he receives. The talented Jully Black, who has worked with the likes of Destiny’s Child and Nas, drops inspiration for young ladies everywhere and purebred veteran lyricist DL Incognito shares his lifelong love affair with hip-hop.

Canada has always supported and shown love to our cousins south of the border. We buy US music, clothes, pretty much everything. But right now it’s all about showcasing this scene that we’ve worked for years to build up here,” explains Priya Ramanujam , Editor-in-Chief and Founder of Urbanology Magazine. “And hopefully with this issue Urbanology will get the message out through our loyal readers in the US that Canada has music, fashion and a scene worth paying attention to.
