"Stomp The Yard," a major motion picture simulating the black college experience in Atlanta, Georgia, is now playing at a movie theatre near you, just in time for the Martin Luther King holiday.

Synopsis: A young man finds that the moves he learned on the street may help him make a better life for himself in this youth-oriented musical drama. DJ Williams (Columbus Short) is a 19-year-old growing up in Los Angeles; while DJ is at heart a good kid and a gifted street dancer, he runs with a dangerous crowd, and one night an underground dance competition turns into a brawl and DJ ends up in jail. DJ's younger brother has already died a violent death, and his mother, hoping to put him back on the straight and narrow, sends DJ off to Truth University, a historically African-American college in Atlanta. At first, DJ feels like a misfit at Truth, but when he gets a chance to show off his dancing skills, he attracts the attention of two campus fraternities. Greek life is a major presence at Truth, and each year the fraternities take part in a "stepping" competition, in which the members show off their synchronized dance moves.

DJ joins the ONO house, and is eager to help them take the championship away from their campus rivals, but in time he also comes to understand the brotherhood and community service that's a key part of his fraternity's background. DJ also has more on his mind than dancing and studying when he meets April (Meagan Good), a beautiful coed. Produced under the title Steppin', Stomp the Yard also stars Ne-Yo, Brian J. White, and Jermaine Williams.

Yo, The Game is definitely on some other shit again. It's well documented that the Compton native dislikes the G-Unit squad but this time he's got his target set on hip hop icon, Dr. Dre. The Game strikes back at him in this track called "Breathe Easy". As quoted by RapDirt (from the track), The Game raps "Ask Dre who the next ni**a - If he don't say the westcoast Don - I'ma have to DMX ni**as - Bark on him, let the .38 spark on him - Let him take his last breath, then put the chalk on him." It is with great sadness that we have to inform you, the viewers, that the reality show, "Being Bobby Brown" has been cancelled. According to EurWeb, the show has been discontinued because it was stated that, "because not enough viewers were tuning in without the presence of his soon-to-be ex-wife, Whitney Houston". Too bad...I blame all this crap on that homewrecker..."SuperHead".

"I Love New York" which centers around former "Flavor Of Love" contestant New York (Tiffany Pollard), set an all-time viewing record from it's first episode which aired on January 8th. According to BallerStatus, over 7.5 million viewers tuned into to VH1 to watch. This is an all-time record for the network.

Comptons's own Game is upset that Triple H, the WWE wrestler who goes by "The Game", is using his name and want's to challenge him to a match. He states on Pr-Inside that, "I'm much stronger than (wrestler The Game) is. I was 'The Game' long before he came about. He's on TV wrestling and it's pretend, made up. I wrestle in real life and I win."

N.O.R.E. Takes Stand For Homie

As SOHH conveys, N.O.R.E (Victor Santiago) took the witness stand on 1/10 in defense of his friend Darryl Henderson that is being tried for the triple murder that occured. The murders were believed to have happened on January 21, 2002 by a potential drug heist that he and a local street gang Murder Unit had mastermind. The amount of the catch was believed to be valued at over $500,000 . As stated, "the victims were stabbed over 20 times and all three victims had their throats slashed".

In defending his friend, N.O.R.E. discussed how he met Daryl, that he employed as his roadie and that he was unaware of his criminal past. N.O.R.E says, "He's my man. They're trying to make it something that it's not. I believe he's innocent."

According to SOHH, Kanye West is working with director Larry Charles who has created such hit shows as "Entourage", "Curb Your Enthusiasm" & the movie "Borat". The theme of the show will basically be about his day to day life as a musician and as a man. It will be featured on HBO. Should be interesting! Stay tuned for more information.
