"Word on the Streetz for Week of November 5th" by Caila K
Posted at 11/08/2007 11:11:00 AMThe week is not over yet but a recap is long overdue. With all the album drops and star studded events taking place, you know I had to do a picture run down. Here it is folks, the week (so far) in pics:
So Jay Z kicked off his landmark week with a party at The Velvet Room (how fitting) in Atlanta on Sunday. Can't you just see the kid like glee on Hov's face? Guess he threw his "gangster" grill out the window to party like a rockstar!

Even Rick Ross, Freeway, and Jermaine Dupri were in the building acting like straight up kids!

How tiny does JD look in this pic:

Not to be beat, Chris Brown made some appearances around town to promote Exclusive. First he stopped by MTV's TRL on Tuesday. And then he celebrated his album release with a party at Tenjune in NYC that same night:

Jojo (excuse me, Joseph Simmons) came out to show support. Tyrese, Lala and Trina were also in the building.

The World Music Awards were held in Monaco on Sunday and Rihanna and Ciara showed out in some BAD dresses:

Go head ladies!
Hot Music this week:
Right about now I'm about all Jay-Z'd out. But I have to admit I'm feeling the "Roc Boys" video. The cameos from Mariah Carey, Diddy, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, DJ Clue, Nas, Jadakiss and Jay's mini-me don't hurt either.
Lupe Fiasco - Superstar
This and the "Dumb it down" video have me really looking forward to Lupe's new album.
Nas - Survivin the Times (Video Montage)
Although I'm not feeling the title of his new album, gotta admit this new song cut deserves some shine.
A new single from Alicia Keys also hit the airwaves:View Here!
I'm really loving this song and still stuck on 'No One'. I think this next project is going to be a hit for Ms. Keys!
Not quite music, but interesting look for Common and Obama:
