Malice Sounds Off On Lil' Wayne (Audio)

Posted at

Exclusive Audio
Word up family, my homie Pavar, who works for 103 Jamz in Norfolk, VA, just sent me some new heat. A few days ago Malice (pictured on left) of The Clipse did an interview on the Boodah Brothers Morning Show the other day. In the interview, he basically responds to the shots that Lil' Wayne took at the Clipse in an article that was published in Complex Magazine. I would tell you about the interview, but I'll let you listen to it each part of the 4 piece interview. It's pretty shocking what is said.

Nas: 'Rock And R&B Are Dead Too'

Posted at

Rapper Nas has slammed the current state of the music industry, claiming there is a severe lack of creativity in the hip-hop, rock and R&B scenes. The Ether hitmaker - born Nasir Jones - has controversially named his first release on the Def Jam label Hip Hop Is Dead, and believes modern radio has taken a turn for the worse, with artists failing to take their music to the next level. On his new album's title track, Nas rhymes about loading an "extended clip inside of my AK" so that he can rectify the dire music situation and "roll to every station, murder the DJ". He says, "I think that people don't really know how to trust their own creativity because of what it is with radio and it's a business, it's a big business. I mean, it is what it is, I'm not trying to fight the system. I'm just saying what I'm saying."

The Game and Ed Hardy clothing founder Christian Audigier recently announced that they have created original limited edition Black Wall Street/Ed Hardy-inspired shirts to benefit Hands for Hope, a Los Angeles-based charity organization. Hands for Hope is based on the belief that enriching and rewarding experiences will challenge underprivileged students to make choices that will positively impact their careers and lives.

The custom shirts, which will never be sold in stores, are valued collectively at over $80,000 and will be given as gifts to foster children throughout Los Angeles and its surrounding communities. The custom shirts will be split between Hands for Hope and foster children in the Compton area in conjunction with Compton and Wateridge regional offices which is part of the D.C.F.S.(Department of Children and Family Services). A small portion of the shirts will also be auctioned off for charity on The Game's official website.

"In Memory Of JUSTO" by BadNews (*Exclusive Report*)

Posted at

Well people, I can't call it. Another hip-hop award show, another fight, another sensless act of bum rushing the stage for shameless plugs...another reason why hip hop won't be respected. Of a night where the underdog wins, the people who stayed on their grind and gave us noting but heat on their mixtapes were going to be awarded, this -ish had to go down.

Of all places it went down in one of the most historical theatres in the world, you know the same stage where Micheal Jackon, Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Lena Horne and countless other legends in the black community got their big breaks and gave hip hop its lungs so it could stand on its own two feet went down. This is the way we showed them love... by fighting, not being graceful losers, bum rushing the stage to give stupid, senseless advertisements and disrespected one of our legends on a night that wasn't suppose to be forgotten.

I'm for all the hip hop beef, and drama and opinions by rappers about other rappers...it keeps your favorite artists on their toes, but when we can't even unite over one night to celebrate the life of Just-o, then we need to take a step back and look at whether we're staying in the same
place or digressing. I don't wanna complain or nag, but damn y'all, when are we gonna come
together to celebrate hip hop and not fight and shoot each others heads off? Maybe this is how we are celebrating it. This is my opinion..

Mel B Hits Back at Eddie (Real Talk..)

Posted at

Former Spice Girl, Melanie Brown (pictured on right w/Eddie) has hit back at ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy, insisting she is shocked by his comments about the paternity of her unborn baby. The Wannabe singer had been dating Beverly Hills Cop star Murphy since June and he has now demanded a DNA test to prove that he is the actual father of her child.

Brown issued a statement to Hollywood blogger Perez Hilton yesterday morning (12/7), saying, "I am obviously upset and distressed at some of the comments made by Eddie Murphy to the media."I have no idea why anybody would want to conduct themselves in this kind of manner about such a personal matter in such a public way.
"My main concern is for the well being of my daughter Phoenix and of course the baby. I was astonished about what Eddie said - there is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father." Murphy appeared on Dutch TV on Tuesday (12/5), where he announced the couple were no longer dating, just one day after the singer said they were looking forward to spending Christmas together.

On Monday night (12/4), Murphy stepped out with his new girlfriend, Tracey Edmonds (pictured on left), at the New York City premiere of his latest film DreamGirls.

"Give Me Two Pair" by Pennivy (*Special Report*)

Posted at

We all got a pair, maybe even two. But who knew that Air Force Ones (or Uptowns as us New Yorkers like to call them) were fly enough to get their very own birthday party? The 25th anniversary for the infamous AF1's is going down this Sunday, Dec 10th in New York's Gotham Hall, courtesy of Nike. Kanye West, LL Cool J and Nas will all be in the building to 'celebrate' (aka pick up their complimentary kicks). The bash is invite only and will feature an exclusive performance by Kanye, Nas, KRS-One and Rakim. The rappers will perform a new, original track produced by Rick Rubin. You may know Rubin for his work producing the hip hop classic "My Adidas" by Run DMC. Other celebrities expected to attend include Jay-Z, Diddy, Dave Chappelle, Usher, Snoop Dogg, Spike Lee, Ciara and many more.

It seems trivial to honor a shoe, but if you think about it, hip hop is all about style, and the AF1's are a wardrobe staple. It is one of the most popular and best selling Nike shoes of all time. There aren't many sneakers that cross the barrier between sports to become an iconic feature in music, film, and all media. The AF1's have held that title down now for 2 decades!

Nas Breaks Down Controversey between Baby-Mama (Audio)

Just checking out EurWeb this morning when I came across an article which detailed Nas's involvement with his baby-mama, Carmen Bryan. In a 3-segment interview by Kendra G, that was done on the "Trey the Chocolate Jock Morning Jump-off" from Chicago's very own Power 92, Nas discusses several issues from no
