Comedian Rock files for Divorce

Funnyman Chris Rock has become the latest celebrity to file for divorce.The comic is ending his 10-year marriage to Malaak Compton Rock. Ironically, Rock has just finished shooting his latest movie I Think I Love My Wife. The couple wed in November, 1996. They have two daughters.

'Trick Luvs Da Kids' Launches Christmas Gift Drive With KB Toy Store

Miami rapper Trick Daddy will bring a little Christmas cheer to underprivileged youth through a new alliance between his Trick Luvs Da Kids Foundation and KB Toy Store.

Trick Daddy's nonprofit was founded to inspire, aid and encourage youth to achieve a better quality of life through educational, social and musical development.

Through the venture, which kicked off last month, customers can purchase a gift card to donate to the foundation at any KB Toy Store in Miami-Dade, Broward or West Palm Beach.

Those searching for another option can buy a toy and receive 10 percent off of the original price of the item.

Donated gifts will be handed out Dec. 16 and 23 at the fourth annual Trick Luvs Da Kids Christmas Toy Drive.

Trick Daddy, Pitbull, Mobile Mike and others will be on hand at the event, providing food, gifts and entertainment.

The participating KB Toy Stores are located at Aventura Mall, Westland Mall, the Gardens Mall, Sawgrass Mills Mall, Pembroke Lakes Mall and Dolphin Mall.

"F*** This," Kanye Throws Hissy Fit After Losing MTV Euro Award

Kanye West reportedly crashed the stage in outrage after losing the Best Video Award at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Copenhagen, Denmark on November 2.

Though the Louis Vutton Don took home Best Hip-Hop Artist honors, he crashed French duo Justice and Simian's acceptance speech after their "We Are Your Friends" video was announced as the winner. Kanye was reportedly in disbelief when his "Touch The Sky" video lost, noting that it cost $1 million to make and that it featured Pamela Anderson.

"Fuck this! Nigga, nigga...this video cost a million dollars, fam. I had Pam Anderson. I'm jumping across canyons and shit," West vented in his complaint. "If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility."

"It's nothing against you, but I've never seen your video," he then added to one of the Frenchmen. "But hell no."

Fat Joe, Kelis and Cassie served as presenters while Rihanna, Gnarls Barkley and Justin Timberlake were also among the winners. The Awards show was hosted by Timberlake.

50 CENT, DENIRO TO STAR IN KATRINA THRILLER: Duo in final negotiations to star in “New Orleans.”

Rapper 50 Cent and acting legend Robert DeNiro will star as cops investigating a murder in the film “New Orleans,” a police thriller set against the backdrop of Hurricane Katrina.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the indie film (previously titled “Microwave Park”) follows a cop (DeNiro) who thinks his partner was killed by the storm, only to discover that he was shot to death. His new partner, (50 Cent) helps him to investigate the murder, and the two soon uncover a world of police corruption.

The project was originally set in Los Angeles but changed to New Orleans after the Katrina disaster. Production is tentatively scheduled to begin in the city in February. Tim Hunter is directing for Millennium Films.

De Niro directs and stars in his next film, "The Good Shepherd," a spy thriller co-starring Angelina Jolie and due for release in December. 50 Cent starred last year in the autobiographical feature "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'."

Snoop Dogg Charged With Felony Weapons Possession; Warrant Issued

Rapper Snoop Dogg has been formally charges with felony possession of a deadly weapon, stemming from a search of his bag at John Wayne International Airport in September, which found him in possession of a collapsible baton.

At the time, the rapper told airport security it was a prop for a movie he was filming while in New York and that he didn't realize it was illegal. It was confiscated and Snoop was allowed to board his flight without being cited. But, the Orange County district attorney's office was considering filing charges, and now has.

According to Rueters, an arrest warrant has been issued for the 35-year-old rapper (real name: Calvin Broadus) in Orange County, California. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison.

"He either turns himself in or he gets picked up by law enforcement," said Susan Schroeder, Orange County District Attorney's Office spokeswoman. She added that prosecutors have contacted the rapper's representation, asking for surrender.

Schroeder said that charge could've been filed as a lesser misdemeanor, but to the Snoop's criminal record, they put the felony label on it.

Snoop was also recently arrested at the Burbank airport, just outside of Los Angeles, last week after police found the rapper in possession of a gun and marijuana during a traffic stop as he was unloading his vehicle. He was booked and released on $35,000 bail.

Houston Rapper Z-Ro Promotes New Album Despite Incarceration

Incarcerated rapper Z-Ro will release his album I'm Still Livin Nov. 7 on Asylum/Warner Bros. Music.

The Houston rap veteran, born Joseph McVey, said the new set explores a more melodic side to his rhymes, which he wrote during his last stint behind bars.

The album also features fellow Houston rapper Big Hawk, who was shot and killed this past May.

"All these years around each other, we only did four or five songs together," Z-Ro told AllHipHop.com from the Orange County prison in Texas. "The rest of the time was spent going to shows and ranking on each other and being homeboys. He's a legend, and he's still a legend. It was like the second coming of DJ Screw. Hawk had that same stature. The dude didn't have a hateful bone in his body for nobody. He was just a good person all around, and I really enjoyed knowing him."

Z-Ro was re-incarcerated in 2006 for possession of a controlled substance and will remain behind bars until late 2007.

"I'm still doing the same thing but from a different space."

Police Sue The Game For Defamation, Album Not Pushed Up

Five North Carolina police officers who arrested The Game at a local mall last October, have reportedly filed a defamation suit against the Compton rapper.

As SOHH previously reported, Game (born Jayceon Taylor) was arrested last year at a North Carolina mall after three off duty police officers repetitively asked the rapper to discard a Halloween mask he was wearing, to stop cursing and to leave the building.

While handcuffing Game, one of the officer's pepper sprayed members of the rapper's entourage. After being released on bail on the same day, Game would tell the local press that all he was doing was signing autographs. He also accused the officers of brutality and compared his treatment to that of Rodney King.

According to the Associated Press, the officer's suit was filed at the Guilford County Courthouse, and the cops charge that they were libeled, slandered, and that their images were misappropriated.

The suit also takes issue with the distribution of a video of the officers during the arrest.

A website promoting the DVD claims it shows The Game "being wrongfully arrested and brutalized by the police in North Carolina." The incident was captured on videotape by a member of Game's entourage and is available on the Internet.

The five officers, Hien Nguyen, Matthew Brown, Ryan Childrey, Romaine Watkins and David Gregor, are each seeking more than $10,000 in damages. One officer says in the lawsuit that he lost $7,500 in off-duty pay because he was afraid of returning to work at the mall.

The Game and his associates could not be reached for comment.
